My Parents

 

 You were there
when; I felt pain
when I was wrong
you never gave blame

Now it’s my turn
to help you out
my dearest, my all
that’s what love is all about.

I a very fortunate Ted. I have two wonderful, loving and caring Parents that I regard as the best thing in my life. I am saddened for anyone that has lost theirs, but know they will always remember them and never forget their unconditional love, that only a Parent can give. Take care my friend. Ah, an homage to parents, those of us who struggle to give our children the best, but don't always succeed and, in fact, usually fall quite short of perfection'... oh wait, that might just be me! (hehe) This short poem is evidence that your parents did well in their parenting because they raised a man to honor and love them, and canonize that into writing! I hope that despite my pitfalls and mistakes, my children can some day say the same for me.

Firstly, my dear friend. Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. I really appreciate it and (2ndly), I am sure you are doing the best you can. Life is moving so quick and our children get very little time to experience childhood, but with much patience, love and effection, I am sure you will succeed. I will admit however, I was far from being perfect as a child. I loved to talk in class and my homework was never on time, but Mum and Dad kept at me and won in the end. They are a treasure.
