My Intrument

Many feel this instument is forgotten, but not to me.

My Instrument

 

In the key of G minor
followed by C
a hungry call
for a melody.
The left hand plays
in sync with the right
the bass is hidden
 the notes are tight.

The score has been written
it’s almost sung
staccato, allegro
played by one.
The bellows will serve
air to each reed
motion and movement
aids to its speed.

The Accordion brings joy
no need for a band
solo, unaided
its voice is so grand.
Unique, outstanding
it stands on its own
such a delight
such a great tone.
