The Pearl at the Bottom of the Sea
You are the pearl at the bottom of the sea Of the tears of the Dark Mother Feeding on muck and slime You shine Brighter with each tear You know no fear Only pain Which brings you more beauty Shouts and laughter Caught in this tiny Hospital room A fisherman´s net of despair You need to be In the vast sea Navigating the stars With unicorns, flying fish And me (the following is not a translation, it´s another poem based on the same theme in Spanish) La Perla en el Fondo del Océano Eres mi perla En el fondo del océano De las lágrimas Cada lágrima que rueda Desde la Madre obscura Agrega una capa más A tu belleza, mi perla Con cada día de dolor Te vuelves más brillante Tu rostro animado Con tus gritos y tu sonrisa La fuerza de tu cuerpecito Tus piernas musculosas Que brincan y brincan y brincan Atrapada en la pequeña Cuna del hospital La desesperada red del pescador Necesitas el mar vasto Para navegar las estrellas Con unicornios, peces voladores Y yo © 2012 Leo |
