Red Sports Car

Red Sports Car

A Poem by Leo
"

How I lost my virginity.

"
I lost my virginity
to a girl who drove a red convertible
sports car.  We'd go to the date shake stand
her sunny California long blond hair
streaming in the top down breeze
large luscious mouth pearl perfect teeth laughing
tank top cheerleader breasts
heaving earthquakes in my pants.

Driving down the PCH.
On the left, soft velvet hills
dry round mounds hiding
narrow deep canyons
under thick pungent bush.
On the right, the baby blue Pacific
stretching out like a lazy cat.

Smoothly we sailed
she the skipper, me the mate
hugging the curves in Corona del Mar
with it's hidden coves of warm salty water
secret sea life hiding in the cracks of the rocks,
we went all the way to Laguna canyon.
With confident control of the stick shift
she guided us through the narrow gorge
hairpin turns hung with musky eucalyptus.

That night we ended up parked
on the edge of a sea cliff
brake set, lights out
bodies bound in bucket seats
of soft leather groping
penetrations first brief contact.

She cried
and drove away.
