You and I

You and I

A Poem by Kayla Kathleen

Stars drip down like raindrops from the sky

I wonder why

I only see you

And I think that maybe

You just might see me too

But it's a wonder

That we only see each other

And find our way together

In this weary world

Full of crime and hate

Though we learn to appreciate

Ourselves and

Our love

For each other

I gain a sense of emotion

From all that you are pouring

Out of you

And then

Into me

And then I

Clearly

See

What it is like

To be a lover

In this forsaken Time

In this forlorn place

Full of disgrace

Where there is no

True Rhyme

No perfection

Just us

The people in this world

o
i like its simplicity of language. no dramatic paroxysms of imagery straining to impress readers; only the most elementary words to describe a subject that encompasses the wide world. good job.
