Chapter 1: Windows should probably stay closedA Chapter by Lenora AtlantisPlatinum attempts to settle into her new home, which proves to be a challenge.
I opened my eyes, suddenly woken from a sound sleep. There was a pit in my stomach like I was being watched. I sat up and looked at my bare room.
My parents and I had moved into the new house 2 days ago and I still had only unpacked a pillow and my matress, which was in the corner of my decently sized room. I shiver ran down my spine as I felt a soft wind blowing against my skin. I looked over to my window which was open wide. I got up to close the window when I remembered. Last night after I had gotten out of the shower, I had closed my window tightly and locked it. I suddenly felt very scared and I remembered the pit in my stomach I had felt when I had first woken up. I closed my window quickly and raced silently to my bed. As I pulled the covers over my head, my cell phone alarm clock started chiming. The bells on the screen were moving back and forth and in bold black letters it read: 6:00am. I quickly hit snooze and slid the phone under my pillow. Within what seemed like seconds my alarm was going off again but this time it said 6:30am. I turned my alarm off and sat up, slowly forgeting the window scare.
