Poetic Fragments

Steps

up to a hill

where the bright sunshine

has me dreaming of countless tomorrows

Warm

breeze blows easily

suggesting much more May, than March

on this mid march late morning

Bird

songs in the air, flow easily

from the bare treetops surrounding

this quiet park

Benches

in the nakedness of shade

awaiting people and conversations

talking of days to come

Promise

of things to come

of rebirth, and of renewal

overwhelmed and losing myself in the glow

Mirth

albeit, perhaps a temporary serenity

…forgetting the gray days of winter

….we’ll think of the days to come

Of promise

Of promises

I really enjoyed reading this, each verse built up an even stronger image and I found this to be really effective

Thank You! I hoped that I captured a bit of what was experienced on my walk in the park on sunday.
