AN ODE TO FRIENDZONE

with the alarming rate which ladies are friendzoning nice guys (us), I had to voice out to save us from the gory cold

AN ODE TO FRIENDZONE.


I wipe my eyelids as I write this piece,
rinsed my face squeezed of disarray,
empty the purse of my heart,
hope the end gives Me peace.

I seek and my eyes realized,
that her hairs has no lice,
but her head infested with lies.
Ways she told them were as cold as ice.

She enclosed me in a dungeon
that caused pain to all body regions.
I feel like a body with no bone,
I'm suffocating in this friendzone.

My sanity is fading,
Thought of us not dating
was a dart to my heart.
My tears soon cause a flood path.

Melancholy became my housing.
From a man, I've metamorphosized
into a big baby crying.
My Life; a ship that has capsized.

My living bitter as bile,
My body ready to die,
My spirit ready to fly.
Oh! Love is such a sly.

My whole filled with rage,
but my heart's already caged.
Not clear how to end the Love siege,
undecisive whether to flip the page.

I can never be your side dude.
My heart would but my ego won't!
I finally figured what to do
is to cloth myself with tomb.

By the time you get this creed,
My last blood drop would be the seal.
Don't cry while you read,
for now I'm where I feel glee.

From women who were either actual lovers--or those considered "lover material"--men are not at all fond of being offered mere friendship. It is, in addition, the kind of "friendship" that's almost never going to work (at least, until a great deal of time has passed.) The guy's desire for sex will simply override any other considerations, and her wish to keep him at arm's length, can only become a source of constant conflict.
Your poem, L, is an extremely creative, very entertaining poetic statement, that far better expresses what I've just written.

The friendzone has its perks my talented friend lol. Not great perks for a young virile guy though hah

Its a matter of perspective LekANTIC - what you see as a relegation i see as a promotion, you see friendzoning as a loss - I see it as a win.
the hardest thing about being friendzoned is when they ask you to evaluate potential BFs - that is a tough station but if you can do that without spite - then you will have a friend for life which is better than a few shags (oops sorry).

I really like your turn of phrase and imagination my friend - keep writing !
