Truth of Insanity

The world keeps getting crazier.

And as it turns,

My mind begins to follow

Suit and join the ranks

Of fallen sense.

 

In timely fashion

Signs melt to the ground

Leaving pools of confusion

And streaks of indecision

Running down the earth.

 

I give to you a lie.

That the streaks run up;

The earth turns counter to its counter

And the sun burns periwinkle blue.

Did I lie?

 

I give to you truth.

That the world runs without

Pause; all that is isn’t

And all that was wasn’t.

Did I lie?
