DREAMS

DREAMS

A Poem by Quickbeam

During the day we look at the stars behind the sun. Pulling back the satin blue sheets to unveil spots of light in the dark.

We are nocturnal, we are day sleepers.

When daily chatter and motion are replaced by the sound of crickets and the soft crash of the ocean.

When moonlight flickers between the clouds, when trees in the breeze sway and bow.

We are there, but not in sight.

We are there in the dead of night.
