Night Time Rush

Night Time Rush

A Poem by Leigh

A teardrop of Moon sits low over valleys of shadow

And above a standing army of dandelion clocks too

And when the purple night breeze rises high

A million floating time seeds fill the twilight air

Precariously drifting to some hopeful meadow

Some are carried up to the foothills of Star mountain

And some are swept low to drown in dark waters

While the bulk silently fly in the middle air

Those that are not prey to nightbirds on the wing

Manage to touchdown like a parachutist landing

Onto the soft, wet and fertile soil

In the desperate journey of the night time rush

and me ,I just finished ,Shaklelton, "It was a dramatic gesture, but Shackleton was determined to impress upon his men the absolute necessity of each man stripping himself of every ounce of superfluous weight. “No article has any value when measured against our survival,” Shackleton intoned. “Everything is replaceable except your lives.”
Interesting how things weave.

Grasping on tightly...holding tighter...what a piece...stirring and yet alarming at the same time...that is your mark...have always loved that about your writing, it is a roller coaster of emotion and observations, wonderful xx

touching down like a parachutist landing - in the desperate journey - this poem was lovely - beautiful words and imagery yet you also created tension with the dark atmosphere - the danger....well done.

Night time rush, I like it. I like the magical journey it gave my brain, the valleys of shadow, hopeful meadow, purple night breeze. It reminds me of fireflies and the sunset and wishing that one day I will get to see that. :) I think your word play is great. Good job, man!

I like the narration of the seeds journey and the metaphors implied.

Every where we look ... in the stillness ... the night ...while we are at rest ... or at play ... it goes on without end ... the life infinite. A great repose on life Leigh.
