Night Time RushA Poem by Leigh
A teardrop of Moon sits low over valleys of shadow And above a standing army of dandelion clocks too And when the purple night breeze rises high A million floating time seeds fill the twilight air
Precariously drifting to some hopeful meadow Some are carried up to the foothills of Star mountain And some are swept low to drown in dark waters While the bulk silently fly in the middle air
Those that are not prey to nightbirds on the wing Manage to touchdown like a parachutist landing Onto the soft, wet and fertile soil In the desperate journey of the night time rush
