Imogen Evie and the Feline Adventure

This is just a fun night time story which I wrote for my daughter. Imogen loves it because she stars alongside our two cats - Pippin and Pebbles. Even her Bear Rufus gets a starring role.

It was early One Morning , when not much occurs

But Imogen Evie had started to stir.

She reached her arms skywards and stretched out her legs

Then said "Hi" to Rufus and sat up in bed.

"Shush Rufus!" said Immy, "Can you hear that sound?"

And she held him quite firmly , his ear to the ground.

And before he could open his mouth up to talk

Immy jumped out of bed and she started to walk.

"Tiptoes Rufus!" said Immy as she searched all around her

While the noise she could hear grew louder and louder

She crawled passed the landing, snook through a door,

Pulled back the blanket and heard a huge "SNORE!!!".

"Oh Rufus" she giggled , "You silly old bear!",

Then hugged him and dragged him THUD! BUMP! down the stairs.

While Rufus was startled Immy was itching 

To sprint down the hallway and into the kitchen!

While they lifted their paws up and covered their eyes

Immy burst through the door " Pippin , Pebbles Surprise!".

Now these p*****s were gentle and kind as can be

But they curled up and cringed at the sight of Immy.

"Would you both like some breakfast? I'll get it myself"

She said as she reached for their food on the shelf.

As she teetered and tottered and teetered some more

The p***y cats nervously paced around the floor.

Like a bolt from the blue , from the back of the house

Immy turned, then she paused and she screamed out " A Mouse!!!!".

Whoosh! Out flew Pippin and Whizz! Pebbles too

While Rufus looked on knowing not what to do.

Immy slipped through the window, Jumped down off the bin

Ballet twirled for no reason and yelled out "Pippin!"

But Pippin was chasing while Pebbles was watching

As that cheeky mouse ran flew through yesterday's washing

Screeched down the clothes line and under the gate

Pip tried to slow down but CRASH! , BANG! , was too late.

"Oh Pippin , It's alright. I'll take you inside"

Immy said while Pebs sat with a grin a mile wide.

She wrapped him in bandages, stuck them with glue

And to make him feel better she wrapped Pebbles too!

It was early one morning - an hour before school

When Immy would torment the cats, as a rule.

"Did you hear that?" Asked Rufus, "Did Dad's clock just Beep?"

Immy hugged him quite tightly and fell back to sleep.
