LeavingA Poem by Legolas
I wake up so early to talk.
Even if it's only for a few minutes, before you have to leave. The saddest part of my day. I want to scream, "Stay here with me!" I don't though. You live so far away. With you I want to be, forever. Eight hours later, you arrive back home. Sometimes depressed. Sometimes happy. It doesn't matter which way, I am happy that you're back. I always ask you, "Are you mine for the night?" Most of the time, it's a no. You have other things to do. Other friends to be with. So rarely is it a yes. When you get back home after an evening with friends, you seem so happy. It's late though so you must sleep. I am sad you have to go. I am sad you have to sleep. I am sad you have to say, "Goodbye". I am sad you have to leave.
