This is a wonderful haiku. Why did you stop writing them? I'm just curious. It is a wonderful metaphor and you voiced it in such an ingenious way, I really really like it. Each line had its own subject yet each line was connected to the others. Great job Legolas!

Leaves wither as do certain things about us, the tides surge like emotions, but there will always be something that keeps us grounded like the mountain. I love the metaphor that is this poem. :)
Very nice haiku, and an interesting topic. I like the comparison of the changes in nature that, with both the trees and the tide, will eventually repeat itself unchangingly, with the solid mountain that knows no cycle.
