WOW! What a great riddle and poem. Now I know I'm wrong but I have an answer...I really do. I just can't put it here cuz it'll ruin the surprise!
You're writing is incredible as always. It's very thought provoking, I've read it quite a few times and each time something else jumps out at me and my thoughts go in another direction. Each time I think I have the answer or the truth I change my mind. What a great read!!
Not much guess work needed here, I think you have in fact done away with obscurity "PHEW" and given us the plain and honest truth about the origin of lies and betrayal and all in a little bitty poem Oh clever one...
Nicely worded...
I think this poem is very creative. Hmmm is the answer the tongue?? LOL I know that's wrong but I am stumped because in my life I am surrounded by lies.
Wow! That really made me think! I'm still pondering, as I speak! =]
The lines were flowing one after another so effortlessly, and the rhyming was perfect.
Amazing!

What holds the truth, the heart, i enjoy this because it really gets the reader pondering the notion of the riddle and causes thoughts to dwell on a higher understanding of cause and effect, what is, and what becomes, the actual form is subtle dynamic, and has a decisive wording that punctuates the intent,
I would like to know the answer, this is excellent writing, and poetry. thanks for sharing.
My guess at the riddle should tell you how it was that I understood your poem. I think that the answer to your riddle is "the dollar". I see your poem as a lament as to how we have come to trust the dollar even as the lie "In God we Trust" is written on that dollar.
I write about various topics. Mostly I write poetry/songs. I took my screen name from a concept album/epic poem I wrote years ago titled "Legion's Legacy: Tales of the Damned" which was inspired by .. more..
