A Poem by Legion
"

Battling the silence of the muses. I have mustered this.

"

Period

Comma,

I have given pause to you

within this life

and have contemplated,

nay, Questioned this mark

I have made upon

this world that continues

its Exclamation, its point,

in which I find no comfort,

nor confirmation

and thus end,

not within this single moment,

but within nothing more

than this Period.

I once thought there wasn't much to punctuations. But since the day I realized the little magic they can create, I've been always using them -- quite cautiously!

And this one, is just one refreshing read. Kind of, off-beat poetry; but not very poetic as your other pieces: Prose poetry? Maybe!

Keep writing.

creative use of grammar. seems the silence of your muse does not hold you back from making your mark!

This poem forced me to pause and read it again slowly. So I guess you could say it gave me pause, but that is a pun and puns are silly. But there is really sometimes a lot of depth in those pauses. We're usually too busy rushing around to notice though.

It's the simplest pieces that become the most poignant.
Thanks for sharing.

Well done, I totally agree with Linda MVT, and your use of punctuation equalling a poem in itself is inspiring. A great write written by a great mind. Very clever and Well done! ;)

O! This is just great! I love how you incorporate and then elaborate upon the different forms of punctuation ....

"Comma,
I have given pause to you ...

Questioned this mark
I have made upon
this world that continues

its Exclamation, its point,
in which I find no comfort,
nor comfirmation
and thus end,
not within this single moment,
but within nothing more
than this Period."

Your form and wording are so succinct that it's difficult to separate any part from the whole. All in all, wonderful.
