Forethought and Hindsight

Forethought and Hindsight

A Poem by Legion
"

Wrote this back in high school over twenty years ago and forgot all about it. For some reason it just popped back in my head a few minutes ago. Lot of deep meaning if you look for it. Of course, it could be just a bunch of crap too.

"

Forethought and Hindsight

To look ahead

And see the past.

You got to remember it was over twenty years ago. And no, I wasn't stoned.

LOL..

I didn't think you were stoned. As a matter of fact, I thought this to be very insightful. Thank you for sharing.

No, you weren't stoned. Just very, very young. I think it was a youthful attempt at philosophy. I noticed that in my niece and nephews teen years. I guess we all are searching for depth of meaning at that time. Not to worry. Digging a well can't be done with just one shovel full.

Lol. Everyone has those weird little "wise moments" as I like to optimistically call them. I like this. Even if you think it might be crap, it's profound crap. That makes all the difference.

Wonderful poem! It's short, but those words give a lot of meaning. I enjoyed reading it! Thanx! :)

The note cracked me up. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's profound, and what's bullshit. I'm feeling optimistic right now, so I'll say profound. Could be a Hegelian sort of circle, steady progress that is really a cyclical pattern.

Lol at your note. There is much wisdom in this as I do believe history tends to repeat itself. Nicely done. I would definitely enter this in the contest for petite poetry. Well done. Thank you for sharing your talent. Even at a young age you were on a roll.

Siddartha
