Those two short lines define life and its nature so well. As J. Bradshaw said, life is a marriage of opposite---happiness and sadness, light and darkness, success and failure. Everyday is a struggle. We lose. We gain. Such is life. You've seemed to cover what life is with such a short description. I enjoyed this.
