The Fall

The Fall

A Poem by Legion
"

A viewpoint from Lucifer's aspect of things.

"

The Fall

(taken from an interview with the Devil last Samhain)

"How many times do I have to say it?

I,

Lucifer,

the arch angel of light,

did not

fall.

Nor have I ever.

Nor will I ever.

It is a word

That has no

relevance regarding my plight.

Once again,

in my own defence,

I

DID
NOT
FALL!

I was pushed.

Prove me wrong."

where angels fear to tread ?

The last line reads like a dare and pins you by the shoulders. Very well done.

This was great. Clive Barker has an interview with the devil as an ordinary type fellow who says there is just no pleasing God because nobody is good enough for Him, always unsatisfied with His own work. Interesting twist on things.

This is really powerful. Its nice to read about different perspectives. Its kind of eerie and refreshing at the same time. Great job!

I still love this poem - I think it's great. It's actually stayed with me since I first read it.
