The Brokeness of You

A poem I wrote trying to speak about all these celebritys that keep messing up their lives. This is what came out.

The Brokeness of You

 

 

There is no super glue

To fix the brokeness of you.

There is no band-aid

To cover over this mess you've made.

There are no sutures that can be

Strong enough to stave off this catastrophe.

There are no staples to be found

To stop your life from coming unwound.

There are no physicians trained

To derail your life gone insane.

 

 

There are only three nails to bind

That will save this life undefined.

...its the nature of human beings to stumble, fall and bleed...to pick their poison and take their risks, and maybe, to overcome. The unfortunate celebrity just has unlimited money and power to further their own demise, and overcoming is that much more difficult than for the rest of us who hit bottom harder and quicker.

I like this.....and there are so many of them! I'm guessing fame and fortune aren't always what they're cracked up to be.....or maybe it's just when that combination gets into the hands of those too young to manage it.....a pity.
