Prosperity struck
With the prospect of men
As the foundations
of civilization
Grew-
Always reaching upward
Toward the
Ever-standing,
Never-sitting
Sky.

 

Prosperity
And hilarity
Rode on clouds
Side by side.

 

Glory achieved,
Dreams gave out,
And the civilization
Which arose out of
The union of men
Fell back into
The dust of
Retribution.

And then it was over
As the unlimitless
Flow of time
Claimed its prize
Once again.
