Forgive Me Father (Lucifer's Plea)

Forgive Me Father (Lucifer's Plea)

A Poem by Legion
"

A poem I wrote back in high school. Trying to picture Lucifer asking for forgiveness in his arrogance.

"

Forgive Me Father

(Lucifer's Plea)

Forgive me Father,

For I have sinned.

I have crucified

Thy Son

And have partaken

Of the blood of the

Lamb.

I have climbed

Mt. Sinai

And have

Visited Jezebel

In the night.

I have

Danced with the

Head of the Goat,

Sold my most

Valued possession,

And cursed thy

Name

In Vain.

I have reveled

In the Sabbat

And have

Labored

On the Sabbath.

I have eaten

The Fruit of Knowledge

And have seen

The true religion.

Forgive me Father,

For I have lived.

I doubt that Lucifer will ever make a plea for or about anything, he is too proud and an idiot besides that. He gave up a prize position through jealousy and hatred...I'm afraid he is doomed! Do we pray for him or do we let him rot? He was thrown out so I don't like his chances. Your piece is very thought provoking and would give a theology class something to chew on. I could not find the "Martyr" piece that you wanted me to read...please send me a link...
