Chip stands alone now. His friends from the pack all destroyed. He is frightened. He peruses the situation. Finds no solace in his immediate surroundings. He glances above into the radiance of what he presumes must be the face of God. He stares blatantly into that light above. Its warmth contradictive of the cold surface beneath him that penetrates his body. If it would come just a bit closer he would melt into its seductive charms and erase the chill that hardens his form. Perhaps the fear that encompasses him would dissolve as well.

Suddenly the blessed light is blocked as the dark creature that snuffed out the life of his comrades obscures his vision. He feels its grip as it lifts him up into the air. It swings him away from his perch and he quickly feels the temperature change as the beast dunks him into an ivory bath so cold that it knocks the wind out of him. This liquid quickly permeates his body to the core as he slowly looses himself into the void of unconsciousness. It is a blessing for the monster soon feasts upon his limp and lifeless torso.

"Damn,' the monster grumbles, 'that was the last chocolate chip cookie.".

And the last one standing stands no more.

The goofiest thing that you have ever written? How could possibly think that? That might be about mid-range! ;)

Brilliant! It was just a chocolate chip cookie all along! That's wonderful! I really liked having something a little different to keep me entertained.
