The Field of BattleA Poem by LegionA piece for all those small battles we fight everyday. This is one of those battles.
The Field of Battle A peaceful moment shattered. His peers all but scattered. His vindictive rage was all that mattered As the bully was beaten and battered. Now he stands and peruses The land beneath, conquered. The claimant victorious But with costs. Fists thrown. Blood drawn. Innocence lost, He stands addled but glorious. A fallen foe he once feared Now cries, thus confuses All those around As the victor they surround. The tyrant now taken down On this schoolyard battleground.
