If I Died Tonight

If i died tonight will it change the facts. 

Will you remain the same or would you try and take everything back.

Is there something you wish to say before i go?

Throughout these years the true me you never got to know.

What you see here isn't all there is.

Getting beneath the skin is where my soul lives.

Interacting with a benevolent soul.

A task that if completed will result in me whole.

When the grim reaper comes knocking you must answer.

Cant be mad because he's just the messenger.

Find it so hard to find truth beneath all these lies.

Can't even see purity no more in those eyes.

Will you cry at the funeral or remember all the good i've done?

Will you remember how i struggled to have you shine like the sun?

Struggle to move on and deal with pain day by day.

So i sit and put my hands together and pray.

Pray so the lord will deliver me from all of this.

Waiting for the day my name pops up on them angels list.

Wishing for the chance to right some wrong in my life.

If given that chance i'd make it so every things right.

If i died tonight will it change the fact

Will you remain the same or would you take everything back.

What would you do if the casket where to close on me.

What would be your reaction if it was me you could not see.

Any more due to my time being up.

What would cross your mind, knowing i was out of luck.

If i died tonight, would i die a peaceful quiet death.

Or would it be painful and stressful.

Not knowing hurts just as much.

I sit here circling the room thinking of the day i will be

Playing in the wind.

Not knowing when i will really be sky high and finally fly.

Lost for words with the life i live.

Consistently wishing for a change and a hope for a better tomorrow.

But i was always told live for today, forget about the past because 

its already behind you and don't stress the future because 

your not promised tomorrow.

Someone close to me once said Life means four things....

Live, invest, Forecast, and Evolve.

See live for today, invest your time and money, forecast for tomorrow for a 

better chance and Evolve. 

Grow to be a better person and more knowledgeable.

So you see if i died tonight i wouldn't change one thing just ask one favor.

That the lord bless me and forgive me for all my sins and the sins of all.

For at times we know not what we do and are in a constant struggle 

for the light but at times are caught up in the dark.
