A unique format made this fun to read.....the stanzas in red, to me, are like a narrator speaking his piece, and then his voice fades away in time for the vignettes of dialogue.
I can easily see this acted out on a stage with spot lighting alternating between Jane & John Doe and the narrator, who is off to the side.
A wonderfully insightful write about the cycles of love and human relationships.
Although delivered in a conversatioanal tone.It has a freshness an originality which show how much thought you have expended on writing it
It closely approaches reality for most of us In the throes of being in love we communicate os easily transferring feelings without barriers. But when the flames of passion cool and we realise that we are comitted, we begin to doub aand unspokenly communicate that doubt Which erects barriers, once communication and trust are lost We slide into the down ward spiral which leads to failure of the releationship. Communication is the only way we can make a relationship work.
When you are young and hormone driven it is so easy to mistake lust for love. But sex is only the icing on the cake true love accepts our partner in spite of faults and flaws indded often because of them Who could bear to live with someone who was pefect in every way.
I have been there and done that and have the scars to prove it But I married for the second time at seventy after some years alone. my lady had been on her own for twenty years and neither of us were seeking new romance. But love scoffs at age and we both knew. That this was meant to be although we tried to resist because we both had bad expereinces behind us. Besy decision I ever made I proposed and she said yes we are still on honeymoon three years later WE know what love is and how to show it.
Does that answer your question?
This is an amazingly well written poem. All too often, this happens in relationships.
To the last question:
"Does True Love 'Ever Die'...?"
All I can say is, TRUE love never dies. If you REALLY love someone, then you will always love them, even if things don't always work out. Shakespeare once said that, and Shakespeare was a brilliant man.
OH...MY...GOD!! this is me, this is so me, i am going through this with my boyfriend!!!!! we were happy in the beginning but now i believe that we are drifting apart for reasons i don't know. this was very moving and touched me, only because i can relate to it. it has great imagery and description, very well done. :)

Wow, amazing work here. I love the Jane and John dialogs and the rhymes. I really enjoyed the thoughtful lines in between them. Very interesting eye opener you have here. I, myself, believe that love is defined by the person and like the person, love changes.
I don't think love ever dies... to me, it's like energy. It can be converted and transformed, but it doesn't die.
"Does True Love 'Ever Die'...?" it can and it might if your with a person who is just a w***e and they say they love you but your running down a street to a near mcdonalds or something and you see them on the corner asking for rides and stuff ... Good poem :) (oh thats just if your with a w***e like on the song Build God Then We'll Talk by Panic At The Disco) :)
wow, im so taken aback with thie. it was a nice scene, and the layout was phenominal. i love seeing a format that is unique and crisp. good job. but as for it being a poem. i dont know if i would call it that.
but nonetheless, good job. and it's not all cliche. we have been talking about love cliches in class, and how we should quit using it. you did a good job of not using the typical words for the message you told.

ps, if you dont mind returning the favor...much appreciated.
My mind played out this entire poem. I think it is absolutely amazing and I am stunned at how well you were able to put your defination of "true love" into words that flow so easily.
I think you make great arguments in this poem by showing people the direction that relationships usually take. Of course, this does not include everyone, for everyone finds different meanings and feelings in "true love" but I think you nailed it on the dot for most people who have loved in their lives.
Thank you so so much for sharing this.
I absolutely love it.
