A unique format made this fun to read.....the stanzas in red, to me, are like a narrator speaking his piece, and then his voice fades away in time for the vignettes of dialogue.
I can easily see this acted out on a stage with spot lighting alternating between Jane & John Doe and the narrator, who is off to the side.
A wonderfully insightful write about the cycles of love and human relationships.
I believe that true love never dies and that it can not fail us. Anyways, I loved your poem. It's format is creative and beautiful, yet it doesn't take away the meaning of the poem. I loved the questions that you asked because they were so powerful. Often times, many people don't take the time to think about it. This was lovely. Excellent job.
Alexander Smith said; "We are never happy: we can only remember that we were so once." At this moment, I believe the same holds true for love. But I loved this piece! Truly, everything about it.
Really well done and the way you alternated between the people and your thoughts made this a pleasure to read. No one really knows what love is but I this piece captured perfectly the confusion we all experience in dealing with love.
Wow, very deep. I like it very much. In case you wanted an answer, which I'm not sure you do, my response would be: no, true love can never die. Well, not in my opinion. Very good poem, though.
i dont think true love ever dies your poems is identical to me and my ex boyfriend, this is our story also, only i take the pictures down cause he turn them over and that hurt me so i take my picture down from his apartment wall. true writing.
I really enjoyed reading this piece very much so. It's like reading a screenplay along with the voice over giving out the strong hints of prose poetry between the lines...
So, it's all still great tho... especially the sizes and the colors of the fonts... very well matched...
Just two more things;
"True Love never dies, just the soul that would die from the heartbroken..."
"Real Love may be forever, but True Love always wait... Always..."
