Wow, it leaves me thinking of a lot of questions I have to ask myself. And you're right, why are we still so teribly prejudice, always angry and upset over the silliest little things. And I totally agree with Demyra there that sometimes we say things like I love you without even thinking it. I know I do it all the time, mostly to friends and family but I say it so that, should anything ( Goddess Forbid) happen to either of us, they know that they were loved.
An understanding of magnitude... people often mistakenly believe (in my opinion) that what is within their view is all there is. Why should one search - much less care what another is going through?
I believe you just answered this question for many, myself included.
Believing we have the power to help another - POWERFUL! Words spoken or written... as long as we know, in our story they will help not hinder, then let it rain - no let it pour words.
"Giving who we are, helps us to know who the other person is.
Eyes of first impressions lost in judgment
Casting of shadows, tossing blame
Why must we quench our thirst from the well of hatred?
Who are we to judge without knowledge, or out of fear?"
Words to live by... Legacy.
"When we really speak the words 'Thank You' 'I Love You' 'I 'Appreciate You' 'I am Truly Sorry' are they really filled with the meanings they deserve?"
Powerful message.
"Looking back moving forward
Beyond Cognition, reflections now dissolved
Image of another becomes clear
I must vanish to
Know Who {You} Are"
Ahh~~ alas, you have done it. Yes, it is the truth you speak. We must stop thinking of ourselves - in order to know who another is. YES! There is a deeper reason for why things happen. Lessons Learned? Indeed, WE may understand this to be true in "our story".
I sincerely enjoyed your words; they have given me more to ponder upon.
The mirror is only allowing us our reflection... beyond this lies another's soul.
I can't tell you how many questions are flying through my head that I should really think about, thankyou (I mean this is a good way.) This was very well written and I was happy to read it. Your style of writing really captivates me.
This is the kind of poetry I love. Questioning, introspective and challenging norms. You have a style that's incredibly mature and well developed. Amazing poem.
something i am sure we all face. the poem expresses a thought provoking manner which is good. It was to many questions for me though, didn't have a solid thought. too many in one poem. good non the less.
"As a young child I was faced with many circumstances which stretched 'who I was' at an age when baseball, snowballs and candy should have consumed me. "----so incredibly honest..and it sure fits for me too..maybe not baseball, but just the same..i dig it..nice Legacy, nice.

"Without values we have no foundation
Our future should not, and must not, be transmogrified (Because of our past)" I love this line. The entire poem really makes you really think. Greatly written, thank you xx
"Without values we have no foundation
Our future should not, and must not, be transmogrified
(Because of our past)".....................i love this..
"Thoughts become nothing more than reflections
History will - recall voices within our diverse past".........this is amazing as well..
like your style...i am...
I enjoyed it. It reminded me of a lot of the ideas in the study of psychology. When we communicate, are we doing it for us or the other person? Who do we value more, and if we let them talk and just listen, do we have an identity of our own? To know yourself, you do have to communicate for a long time. And over time, though past experiences effect all actions in some way, the new experiences continue to shape us. Most people are shaped into something ugly and won't do anything about it. But if they faced themselves, they could surely change it. It's great to know that people respect you for who you are. This gives off the impression that one should stop living in the past and see what good things they can do today.
I really dig your poetry. I like how yours make me think and has this valid point to make. I'm not much on poetry, but I thoroughly enjoyed this piece.
