A Special Kind of Love Part 2

The sun is high in the sky and the clouds are as white as snow. If it wasn't for the nippy breeze and the fact that he was at school Tony would mistaken it for summer. Sitting under an oak tree reading The Physiology System in Insects, a book he just checked out from the library, when someone walks up and touches him on the shoulder.

"Hi Tony"

Tony startled for a second and looks up to see a tall ravishing girl with long blonde hair, that she always wore in a ponytail, wearing a pink hello kittie tee shirt, light colored cardigan, black skirt and leggings. Tony had reckognized her from class it was Mckinzie, the girl Tony had embryonic feelings towards.

"Hhhii Mckinzie. Um what do you want from me?" Tony replied apprehensively.

"I just wanted to come say hi Tony"

"Oh... Hi"

"Whatchya reading?" asked Mckinzie

"The Physiology System in Insects! Did you know most insects reproduce by sexual repreduction. the egg is produced by the female and fertilised by the male and then oviposited by the female. But some females can reproduce without males, this is called parthenogenesis."

"Thats interesting. Wow Tony I didnt know you knew so much about bugs."

"I plan on being a Insecta Physiologist some day!" proudly conveyed Tony

"So Tony I was wondering if you wanted to start doing school work together after school in the library? Maybe for an hour each day?"

"Oh my god! Mckinzie is asking me to study with her. She is so beautiful. Why would she want to waste her time with me? Maybe im not as weird as i think i am, maybe im handsome, maybe Mckinzie likes me. I cant blow this, what do i say?" Tonys mind is a cluster of capricious thoughts.

Some time has passed with Tony starring into his lap, the look of contemplation and concern on his face, Mckinzie speaks up " Tony" said softly "what do you think? Is it something you would want to do?" asked Mckinzie.

Tony looks up at Mckinzie, face as red as a solenopsis (fire ant), sweat beads fill his face like condesation on a glass of ice tea in the middle of a hot summer day, a nervous yet jubiliant look on Tonys eyes, he replies rhapsodically "Yes! Ok! That would be great! I cant wait!"

Mckinzie smiles and laughed softly out loud. "You're cute Tony. Lets start tomorrow? Will you let your mother know?

"Ok tomorrow sounds good, I'll let Gina know. My mom works all the time, Gina watches out for me."

"Ok. See you in class, bye" said Mckinzie. She waves and walks away.

"Wow. I'm so excited, Mckinkie and me hanging out after school. This is the best day ever. I cant wait to tell Amber."

Tony spent the rest of lunch thinking about his conversation with mckinzie and fantasizing about their after school library time together. He wrote her name in his notebook and drew hearts around it. Tony is in love, The Bell rings and it is time to gather his things and head back to class. His notebook being the last thing he shoves in his bag, still open exposing his love for mckinzie for anyone to see, as Donnie Brook approaches with his two younger minions Bradley and Billy(they are twins that live a couple of houses down from Donnie and unfortunatly on Tony"s street as well) Tony quickly goes for the zipper.

"Hey Tony. Whatcha got there?" Donnie snatches Tonys notebook from his grasp nearly ripping some pages. Donnie provokingly says "Bug Boy are you in love? Hey look at here boys our lil buddy Bug Boy is in love and here I thought he was in love with his bugs."

Tonys face turns red, and his eyes water up as if he was cutting onions. Tempestuously Tony replies "Leave me alone Donnie, I gotta get to class I am going to be late. Give me back my notebook!"

"C'mon guys lets get out of here" Donnie throws Tony's notebook on the ground but not before tearing out the page with Mckinzie written on it and the hearts drawn all over it first. He fold up the paper and places it in his right pocket and walks away.

Tony grabs his notebook and anxiously starts running for class, there is nobody left in the halls. Tonys thoughts are racing threw his mind. "Im late! Oh no im never late. What are they gonna do to me. I'm gonna get detention or suspended or even worse I am gonna get expelled." The class door flies open in a emphatically, Tony comes running in breathing profoundly, slouches over and places his bag on the ground. Tony tries conveying his apologies "I'm so sorry that I am late Miss Appleman! I promise it wont happen again. Please dont expel me."

Miss Appleman chuckles "Its ok. Take your seat Mr. Hanson. Class we are going to start on some math problems so get out ur text books and open to page 104. Donnie sit down and stop talking please!"

"Ok class it's time to go to the field for P.E. Today we are going to play soccer, its a beautiful day out so we will play outdoors. Put your things away and gather by the door."

The rest of the class heads out to the field, Tony has to use the restroom and when he comes out Mckinzie is waiting there for him. "Hey Mckinzie you didnt have to wait for me i would of caught up."

"I thought we could walk together and talk."

Butterflies build up in Tonys stomach. He is so nervous being around Mckinzie "Uh oh ok. What do you wanna talk about?"

"How was math? Did you understand it?"

"Not really, I mean well I tried to understand it but..." Tony said not telling her that the reason he didnt understand it was because instead of paying attention to the lesson he was staring at her and thinking about there after school time together tomorrow.

"Well we can study math first Tomorrow if you would like."

"Yeah, ok that sounds good."

"So you really like bugs huh? What's your favorite bug?"

"Bugs are amazing! My favorite insecta is probably the Germanica Blattaria, its a geman cockroach. They are extremly resiliant. Did you know a 54 year old women swallowed one and it survived her digestive enzymes of her stomach. But its hard to pick one I also really like the Giant Weta, its the largest insecta in the world it can grow to the size of my palm. Its a mix between a grasshopper and a house cricket..."

"Wow Tony! You really do know alot about bugs. There is the rest of the class, you wanna race to em?"

"You're on!"

"Nice of you two to join us, we are all paired up so it looks like you two will have to be partners so grab a ball and start passing it back and forth. We are warming up before we get a game going." said Miss Appleman.

Amber watches Tony and Mckinzie passing the ball. All she can think about is Tony and how much she loves him. "Tony you are so handsome, I wish I knew how to tell you how i feel about you. I love you so much." Ambers thoughts consume most of her attension, missing the ball everytime its passed to her.

"Look at those two love birds passing the ball back and forth, he cant even kick the ball straight. I dont know what she sees in that loser" Donnie said enviously

"I dont know Donnie. Maybe he's nice to her" said Billy

"Shut up Billy! you saying im not a nice guy?"

"No Donnie I didnt say that"

Donnie strikes the ball with a fierceful blow that sends the ball flying threw the air and smacks Billy right in the face. "Oh im sorry Billy did that hurt? You should watch where you put your face."

Billys eyes start to water and his nose is runny, he turns to hide the fact that he's crying so that the other kids dont see him. "Your right Donnie I should be more careful."

"Ok class its time to head back to class and get our things, school is almost out for the day." said Miss Appleman. They all head back to class. Tony and Mckinzie walk back together so they can discuss tomorrows plans.

Tony spots Amber on the bus and sits next to her. "Hey Amber! How was your day?"

"It was fine Tony. How was yours"

Grinning from cheek to cheek feeling euphoric. "I had the best day ever! Amber you wont believe it but Mckinzie wants to go study with me after school tomorrow."

Enviously Amber replies "Good for you Tony, I hope she makes you happy"

"Me too" Tony replies

"Amber i cant believe she likes me. I didnt think any girls liked me."

All Amber can think is "I like you" but cant say it outloud.

Bus comes to a stop. "Well this is my stop I'll see you tomorrow Tony"

"Bye."
