                          Part 1

Pacing back and forth tears stream down Tony’s face, cheeks red as a clover mite, Heart pounds to the beat of a cavalier drum line. Tony’s stomach aches as he barely makes it to the bathroom when he feels his breakfast orange juice travel up through his esophagus, out of his mouth and into the toilet.

“What is this feeling I have?” Tony said to himself and “Why is it consuming my thoughts?” Tony walks over to the sink, to wash his hands, stareing at himself in the mirror feeling foolish. “Crying over a girl? Is this what love is?” Feeling so many different emotions in that moment. “I have to tell her!” “today, today I’m going to tell Mckinzie how I feel about her.”

“Tony! Are you almost ready for school?” Gina shouted up the stairs to where Tony’s room was.

Gina is a Hispanic women in her mid forties with short black hair, somewhere around five foot tall and more on the plump side. The Hansons hired her, back in 2005, for a housekeeper position. Gina had spent alot of her off time with Tony, so they offered her a full time position as Tonys caretaker. She was exceptionally keen to the offer but had she realized the challenges involved she might of respectfully declined.

"Tony! You’re going to be late”

There was no answer back, Gina starts walking up the stairs repeating Tonys name.  Approaching the top of the stairs, Gina finds her mind starting to wander, “what could it be this time? I hope we don’t have an episode before school, this job isn’t easy, I need a raise!”

Gina walks towards Tony’s bedroom door, but hears the sounds of heavy breathing and a sniffling nose coming from the bathroom down the hall. Ear pressed against the bathroom door, “Tony are you ok in there?” Gina asked.

“Your bus will be here any moment. Your backpack and sack lunch are downstairs on the kitchen counter.”

That moment the bathroom door opened to tony wipeing the last of his tears from his pubescent face, he walks right by Gina without saying a word and headed down the stairs, straying from his usual routine of counting each step and avoiding the cracks in the hard wood flooring. This left Gina concerned.

Tony is a 15 year old teen with Aspergers Syndrome and obsessive compulsive disorder, out of the 10 years that Gina has been Tonys caretaker, never has he stepped on a crack nor has he went down the stairs without counting out loud his steps. He is very particular about things of that nature, a little over a year ago Tony was sent into an emotional outburst and missed an entire day of school because he ran out of hand soap and couldn’t wash his hands. Gina tried giving him Dawn dish soap to use but that made him more upset. “This soap is for washing dishes not hands!” cried Tony. Gina keeps a case of hand soap in the garage now to prevent that from happening again. This job has been overwhelming for her and you can see it in her restless eyes, but she handles it well, her and tony have developed a close relationship.

Tony heads straight for the kitchen to grab his backpack and lunch, Gina follows him in there cautiously approaching him and says in a worrisome tone " Are you ok Mr. Hanson?" Tony liked it when Gina would call him Mr. Hanson, it made him feel mature "I am a man just like my dad" Tony would often say.

       "I'm fine!"

"Are you sure? You know im always here for you Tony if you need to talk"

"I know you are Gina, your always trying to talk. Leave me alone for once!"

Tony Grabbed his bag and stormed out leaving Gina feeling peturbed.

Outside now and chill of the cool winter wind breezes across Tonys face, especially chilly against his recently dank eyes, the skies are an amberish red and orange color as the sun rises and the morning fog is evanesce. Tony sits waiting for the bus, and all he can think about is telling Mckinzie today that he loves her. The bus nears and Tony’s heart beats faster and faster as if he’s fighting off an anxiety attack.

The bus pulls in and haults to a stop, making that ear-piercing screeching noise that to Tony was as bad as nails on a chaulk board, doors swing open and Tony climbs abored. He sees an empty in row 6 and heads straight for the back of the bus ignoring everyone calling for him.

"Tony! over here" from the left of the bus someone shouts.

From the right side of the bus shouts Amber "Hey Tony I saved you a spot." Amber and Tony are best friends although she wishes it was more than that but has never actually said so to him. They always sit next to each other on the bus but not this particular morning. Tony walks right past, keeping his head down ignoring Amber and heads to the back of the bus. The animated look on ambers face becomes disturbed.

Tony sitting alone, uneasy about his day to come, Mckinzie weighing on his mind and the thought of Donnie picking on him today makes the bus ride to school irksome. "Donnie is  gonna pick on the wrong kid one day and something bad will happen to him" Tony mumbles under his breath not thinking that anyone could hear him, thats the last thing he needs is for Donnie Brook catching wind of Tony bad mouthing him.

"Yeah i hope something bad does happen to that jerk" someone spoke from the seat infront of him. The boy sits up on his knees and turns around.

"Oh hey Kyle you heard me huh"

"Yeah, i have super good hearing. So good im like a superhero. Call me Captain Eerie. No Super Eerie. No Captain Kyle. No no no no Super Kid. yeah i like that. Super kid!

"Did you hear that Donnie beat up Andy Cooper at the park yesterday? Yeah i guess Andy has an older brother thats really really upset bout it" conveys kyle.

"What happened to Super Kid? Why didnt he save Andy?" Tony says in a sarcastic tone.

"Um Super Kid was made up just now Tony. not yesterday, duh"

"Ok whatever Kyle. I dont wanna talk right now so turn around!"

"You can't cant tell Super Kid what to do."

"Im serious Kyle Please leave me alone."

"Ok! bye" Kyle pushed his glasses back up on his face and waves.

Back at the house Gina is cleaning and listening to the radio, 95.7 classic rock, and singing outloud to journeys most famous track ' dont stop believing.' This was Gina's "jam" as she would often say when it came on. Gina always listened to 95.7 while she was cleaning.

"Dont stop believing gotta hold onto this feeeeeeling (mumbles) up around (mumbles) bulivard." Gina makes her best attempt at singing the song. She thinks she has the voice of an angel because nobody would dare tell her that she sounds like a baby crying over a poorly played violin in actuality she has butchered more songs than a slaughterhouse butchers meat.

Gina is vacuuming the living room, the tv is on but the volume is muted. Gina glances over at the tv to the News to see the south medford police department, ambulancesand a helicopter all at Tonys school. She shuts the vacuum off and runs for the tv remote, hitting every button until she finds the volume, in a panic rush deeply concerned for Tony.

"Breaking News, shooting at the south medford high school at 9:45 this morning, 4 confirmed dead and 2 injured. shooters identity is currently unkown."

What happened? Did Tony get rejected and start shooting people up? This story is so realistic. I really enjoyed reading it but I hate having to wonder...
There are quite a few spelling errors... but you probably already know that so I wont point them out unless you want me to.
Great story leftwriter - keep up the good work!

Though there are slight grammar issues and misspellings, I love the way the story is unfolding.
