RESTLESS

RESTLESS

A Poem by LeeLee Ryder

RESTLESS

Ruby red glasses drip down her lonely brow
Endlessly capturing her every whimsical smile
Soon she would meet her match made from hell
Tossing her out into the cold world of pell-mell
Love wouldn't do, the cad never relinquishing
Empty cherished words would haunt her for hours
So be it she said, you're nothing but a ghastly heap
Soon I'll meet another, and love won't be oh so cheap
