NIGHT FALLS

NIGHT FALLS

A Poem by LeeLee Ryder

NIGHT FALLS

Sun sets while Hendrix plays his scarful guitar

The sound waves linger and touch the sky
Memories highlight the night fall blues
I can't remember, have I paid my dues?

Stars illuminate the dark side of the moon
The kiss of life gets me in the mood
Thoughts of you permeate my head
I can't remember, have I been to bed?

Sunlite splashes me in the face
The birds sing loudly, I awake full force
Times like these lift me off the ground
I can't remember, am I still earthbound?

Once again the night comes round
The arms of a lover holds me down
Nights falls hard into my lap
I can't remember, am I good enough to tap?

A nice little peek into the mind of leelee. Nicely done, and I agree with RRC.

It is a fine line to walk when you try to stay grounded and grow as an individual, make sure you remember you roots and reaching for new heights.
