Jiggle, juggle, those 'em there damn bells Hell arises up to heaven as the sun goes kerplunkin' down Jungles of hell amass, while we carol on our way Holidays of red & green bring joy, well that's what they say
Damn the torpedos happily & cash in your freakin' certs Gifts give into commerce while the poor give up nutritive food Sneakers, video games and skittish vouchers cost an arm & a leg All those wannabe posers want to step up another peg
SO Jingle, bangle, jango ... let's come up fresh & clean Research, rescue, be open and give instead of receive Open up your generous nature and stop this silly spell Be quick & stay oh so humble b4 U go to bloody Jingle Hell
Great job of mixing, the serious with the whimsical, in your poem. Brought a few much needed chuckles, while reading it. Sadly, too many people are caught in Jingle Hell already. Thinking quantity and expensive gifts, can buy true happiness of the soul. Thank you, for sharing this thoughtful poem with us.
nice and refreshing spin on the apathy and greed so common in a time when we should celebrate and rejoice and give. so many live for christmas and the decorations etc. they spend thousands on lights and trees etc while some poor shmuck would die for a turkey leg or a bath or a warm bed for the night. jingle hell is relavent to the commercialization of christmas. nice job.
