Desire You Swore By

Desire You Swore By

A Poem by LeeAnne Peytonn

It hurts me enough
To see you hold her hand,
But now that I know
That you're touching her like you did me,
It brings a bloody taste
To my dry and wicked mouth.
You put your desires
Above the ones who actually cared.
You thought with your wants
Against what you need.
You never loved me I do believe,
You only wanted me
For your games that bleed.
You were a snake in my tall grass,
Venomous yet beautiful-
Now you kiss her lips
And swear to her its her and only her.
She'll believe you,
Like I did.
But she'll never forgive you,
If you do what you did.
