As Angels Weep

As Angels Weep

A Poem by The 7th Angel

The dead have risen
The living have fallen
Lies have been excepted
The truth rejected
The strong have grown weak
And the weak grow strong

I've seen civilizations fall
And the light grow dull
I've seen innocence killed
And instinct saved

The world comes crashing down
Hope is nowhere to be found
And love becomes hate
As angels weep

The blind have seen the hope
And the deaf have heard the truth
Blood of the weak has been spilled
So the strong could be healed

As angels weep

The world come crashing down

I've seen the rise and fall of man
I've seen darkness fall
I've seen the angels weep
I've heard their cries
I've felt their tears

This is a greatly-presented poem, mythical and melancholic.
Our image of an angel weeping is a hopeless sight. And your poem has consistently used such image.

Hope is nowhere to be found
And love becomes hate
As angels weep
-My favorite lines.

Keep writing.
