Stumbling

Stumbling

A Poem by Lee Lee

I stumble through the dark,

Letting the cold, hard wall guide my way.

Searching and searching...

For the light I once knew...

For the warmth on my face...

For the glow on my skin...

For the shine in my heart.

It was once so bright...

So familiar...

So normal.

Even though at times it burnt me.

But that was when it started to go dim.

Faith filled me...

That it would shine again.

But foolish was I burried in this hope.

And now all im left with is this wall...

This fear...

This cold...

Stumbling through the dark...

I really enjoyed this.

I once wrote something similar to this, except I didn't have a wall to guide me. I liked how you defined the wall as cold and of stone...that this is the only thing guiding your way, and it is rough and uncertain itself. I really enjoyed this, and I can relate.
