A Girl Can Dream

Sometime in 2013

A girl can dream
that things will be easy again
and she will do all she had hoped
and more,
And that maybe for once she has time
to breathe in, breathe out
and watch the clouds
or write a poem
before she must start again
Run faster
Work harder
With speed and accuracy and poise

But the world will never slow down so that
a girl can dream.
