The Interweaving Chapters: IV : Deserving.

A Chapter by Leap

I have dreams of you and I running from something. We often look back behind our shoulders as we run against the wind.

   "Are we smiling?"

Of course! We're usually laughing at something absurd. We have fun in our denial. We see it, we pick it apart; shred it. The world is our plaything. I mean, we deserve at least that much, don't we?
   Don't do that.

   "Don't do what?"

Don't roll your eyes at me. I know you enjoy my ranting.

"Yeah? Let's create more of a dialogue here. Who said us deserving or receiving anything at all was even part of this picture, huh? Silly things you say like that...human expectations. S**t, don't you think we'd stop this walking by now if we had anything else to gain?"

Good point. But it is just a matter of time before the canal shoots more of them out. You'll see, we can't do this forever. What a waste of our talents that would be.
   You look sad now.

   "No, not sad. Just nostalgic."

Smile Love, we'll figure it out.
   Better.

"I want to hear more about what you're calling 'dreams.' Why they're so obvious."

I dig this. I need to start writing little pieces to randomly throw in the middle of everything. Well done, my friend. I like the structure of this a lot, too.
