I stare at the sky with its detail and colours
I look in your eyes and see a darkness so bright
My mind gets mixed in a flurry of confusion
I start to see the truth that lays behind that smile
The lies that rest deep within are coming out so fast

Like a lightning bolt
That won't go away
Please don't tell me that you're here to stay

My heart was stitched up by your gentle hand
But then was shattered- yeah just like glass
It's so fragile and weak so everything seems its going too fast
I look at the sky asleep
And wish that you had feelings that were as deep
As the raging storm that torments me at night
Wishing that you had sight
To see me cry out for love





You start to see what I'm talking bout'
Don't say what you want too cuz' I'm getting it now
I'm heartbroken with a laugh so dead
I wish upon a star for a star so bright
I know that you'll be coming for more to say
But why can't you just see how unhappy I've been
