Holding On

Holding On

A Poem by Juliette

I can hear your fight that you have in your head…you know? The one you keep to keep me away,

I wish it was more. It’s not and it makes me stay.

I stay because I think you care. I want to protect you and keep you safe,

It isn't going to work. It was never my place.

I hate you! I really do. How could you lie and bring me with you,

You leave me standing. You don’t follow through

You bring me up, you throw me down. Where do I grab on,

Will it be there when you’re gone?

When is it your turn to hold us down? I don’t think

 You’ll ever be that strong.

I can feel it. I sense the regret.

 I’m week. I know I will forget.

I’m to open. Please think of me that way,

Its going, its gone, its fading away.
