Amber irisA Poem by Vertigo
I was the amber iris
In falling light And I would climb a mountain In order to face a new world With the weight of countless memories Held on a butterflies wing I close my eyes And you remain nameless Yet I can feel your heartbeat Through my palms I close my eyes in the silence Just to feel my breath In the late hours Faceless are we until the sun rises Against the with-holding shadows I was the amber iris In the falling light And I would climb a mountain In order to face a new world © 2010 Vertigo |
