Seek

Seek

A Poem by Vertigo

 Silent fingers pressing

In the dark
Fumbling towards
The everlasting warmth
That once held them
You are, you are
Every part
Every starting heart
Beating
Sinking within the thrum
Of your voice
Burning in the cold
Fighting for warmth against the ice
I hold you
Enfold you
With pressing hands
Always seeking.
