Looking up

Looking up

A Poem by Vertigo

 Walking the endless back streets

Remembering
The slight imprints
In your eyes
And the levels
Of the dark
Pull me under
Breathless
Your wry smiles
Over the small things
Daydreaming clouds
Even with the distance
Between us
You'll tell me
To live a life worth living
But I
Fall so easily into silence
Holding hands
As though there is no other warmth
And I watch with seeking eyes
As you look up...
