Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

A Poem by Vertigo

 As beautiful as sound

Lightning striking
Between lovers
Dreaming of others
In wars
Never have we been more alone
In disconnected color
Like a kaleidoscope
More than a cloud in the sky
Colorblind
But I dream in light
Wonder
Breathe
See
Nightscapes
I hold my knees close
With my eyes wide open
The world shut out
Founded
Free
Aware
I watch you from a distance
As though the distance were real
I am a kaleidoscope
Intricate
And silent.
