Golden Eyes

Golden Eyes

A Poem by Vertigo

 I used to know you

As well as a timeclock
That doesn't stop
Within an inconsistent heart beat
Golden eyes
Wishing sighs
Broken lies
And a living breath
Between you and I
Clouded minds
Distant times
Is it such a crime
To live

I am so quiet...
As soft as you and me
And the telling
Swelling words
And the incandescence

And I am oh so wise
In those golden eyes.
