Sun Rising

Sun Rising

A Poem by Vertigo

I just wish the sun would rise
When time meant nothing
And everything
Even when the moon is still
I am as awake in a dying dawn
My mind flies like clockwork
And I could hold the world in my palm

I could hold you
With my slight arms
Perhaps in a shallow embrace
Apart...
But free
Until the sun rises between our arms.
