Blinded

Yet seeing
Shallow and empty
With every sigh
I break
Into every voiceless memory
Always in silence
Even when the water shivers at my feet
As I meet the ocean
And my eyes close
To the drowning sun
And the moonless sky
Without a when or how or why.
