Just a length away

Just a length away

A Poem by Vertigo

Light falls
But never fades
Even when a star dies.
Living and breathing
Pressing hands into one another
Golden in autumn
As though the cascades could enfold
A living day
And the lights in your eyes are far off
Even as I stand before you
Just a length away
