Stay With Me

Stay With Me

A Poem by Vertigo

"Stay with me" he would whisper

I am on edge
Over the silence
Almost as though the ice could crack
At any moment
We stand miles apart
And I am as light as air
Baring wings of countless dreams
That have haunted every part
Where we would begin perhaps
And there are still miles and miles between us

"Stay with me..."

Like I would have any where else to turn,
For the ice around me is beginning to burn.
